Yvonne and I were in a class together in the 10th grade. Yvonne was a debutante at Fairmont East. I played the piano in the orchestra. We each participated in the musicals but we never really spent time with each other but we both knew of each other. I didn't believe Yvonne wanted to hang out with me because I thought she was an upper classman, she was taller than me, and she was a debutante. Nevertheless I thought it would be wonderful if she were my friend! It made my day when Yvonne turned around and smiled at me in the library. We didn't date in high school, and after graduation we went our separate ways.

Twenty-five years later after each our marriages ended we found each other through the magic of MySpace! We married in the Fairmont East (now KMS) library because that's where we met and Yvonne happened to be PTA president at the time. I adopted two of Yvonne's children and then they both graduated from Kettering Fairmont High School. Our son, Sean, gave us our nickname "Leevon", and we've been blissfully happy together for the past 13 years!
