Melanie (Dabrowski) Beach: Class of 1981

Falcon-turned-Firebird Melanie Dabrowski Beach from the Fairmont East Class of 1981 takes the Faculty Friday alumni spotlight today. For the last 28 years, Melanie has been a trusted school secretary at Indian Riffle and Greenmont where she brightens the days of students, staff, and families with her warm smile and welcoming spirit. At Fairmont East, Melanie was on the volleyball, basketball, track, and swimming teams along with participating in class council and FCA. Today, she continues to be active and particularly loves playing with her grandkids, building Legos, playing pickleball, and cheering on the Firebirds. Melanie has many treasured memories from her days as a student in Kettering, going back all the way to meeting her best friend Carole Fischer Lamb in kindergarten and hearing the story of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in third grade with Mrs. Green. Dedicated coaches like Mr. Armstrong in middle school and Ms. Benadum in high school made a lifelong impact on Melanie. For Melanie, working in the district where she grew up is special because, “It feels like I’m home!” #Falcons #Firebirds #alumni #spotlight #WeAreFirebirds #tradition
