Michael and I went to J.E. Prass together and our parents knew each other so we kind of knew each other then. Both of us were swimmers. We swam for the same club team and the same summer team and got to know each other while swimming for those teams. We started dating during the summer of 2005. While at Fairmont, we were on the swim team together and we were both in many honors classes. While we never had class together, we had a lot of the same teachers.

After graduation, each of us went to The University of Cincinnati. We married in June 2011 where we invited twelve of our teachers from Fairmont and their families to our wedding. Michael got his degree in Mechanical Engineering and got a job in Kettering. I (Ashlynn) gradated with a business degree in Marketing.

We had our first child in 2014 and moved back to Kettering in 2017. Our oldest is a 5th grader and our middle is a 2nd grader at Southdale. Our youngest will start kindergarten at Southdale Fall 2025.
