A ballroom dancer and avid runner, Rebecca Templeton from the class of 1987 takes the alumni spotlight today! In 1998, Rebecca came back to Kettering as an English teacher at Van Buren before transferring to Fairmont’s West Unit in 2001. As a student, Rebecca was a cheerleader, ran track, played violin in the orchestra, and was an officer in the Junior Classical League. She loved cheering for soccer games, going to football games with friends, discussing literature in Mrs. Rabb's honor's English class, and playing in the pit for the spring musicals. When she is not busy cheering on her children and students or hiking and traveling with her husband, Rebecca enjoys gardening and reading. Her students and colleagues can always count on her to push them to be the best version of themselves in and out of the classroom. Rebecca is proud to be a life-long Firebird and is, “honored to watch the traditions of academic excellence and Firebird pride continue with each graduating class!” #EverFaithful #alumni #spotlight #legacy #tradition #excellence #Firebirds
