Served as Executive Director of the Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) Small Business Center for twenty-three years. The Center's community-service mission was focused on helping entrepreneurs start and grow small businesses through a variety of courses and services. I taught the FaSTart Workshop and Business Plan Development course in addition to delivering counseling and coaching services. Nothing was more rewarding than helping entrepreneurs succeed and recognize that passion without action is just a hobby! Launched and grew an independent financial planning start-up from zero to multiple six-figures of gross revenue in less under ten years. Guided hundreds of families to financial independence by providing in-depth technical and financial analysis, planning, and counseling. Attained a 99% client retention rate by consistently delivering top-notch, personalized customer service. Proudly served twenty-three years on active/reserve duty as a U.S. Naval Officer/Aviator before retiring as Lieutenant Commander (O-4). While I enjoyed flying across the Pacific and visiting southeast Asia many times, I'm most proud of being awarded the Navy Commendation Medal and the Navy Achievement Medal for sustained, superior performance over my career.
